Just about every traditional wedding ceremony has a similar format: guest arrival, the ceremony, the bride and groom exit and the guest depart. The parts in the middle, the music is a part that also has to be planned. Below you will find the sections of the ceremony and where music should be planned.
The guest entrance music. This should be relaxing, less wordy, welcoming type of music and set the tone for the rest of the ceremony. Usually the music would start 15 to 30 mins before the ceremony. See our playlist for example selections.
The section refers to the entrance of the bridal party, groom men and family to follow.
These special entrances include:
- Family: Parents, grandparents, and any other family or honored guests
- Attendants: Bridesmaids and groomsmen and any flower girls and/or ring bearers
- The Bride
There can be music for the various entrances of the the family, bridesmaids, groom's men, and then a special selection for the bride. Suggest a song, if its not on our playlist.
The I dos, have been said, and the vows have be presented. After the officiant has announced the bride and groom as married, the ceremony is over and the everyone can leave. First the bride and groom, the bridal party, family and then guest. The bride and groom can select an exit song or our musician can play an uptempo, congratulations song. See our playlist for examples.
This is the music we play after the recessional, as the guests exit the ceremony area.
